Watch our Live Lamb Cam now
There’s nothing more quintessentially spring-like than lambing season!
16th – 24th February
After dreary winter months, the whole team at Rand Farm Park looks forward to bringing new life in to the world. This year, we have lots of Ewes expecting to lamb during February and March.
Did you know we now have a Lambing Live Blog?
Check out the blog for daily updates on the lambs born here, at Rand Farm Park.
Some of the sheep that we have kept on the farm over the winter will be expected to lamb early February with the main batch lambing during February Half Term (16th to 24th February.)
In March, we will bring in some more Ewes from a local farm to lamb here at Rand for our two lambing weekends on 2nd/3rd and 16th/17th March.
There will also be daily opportunities to bottle feed our Cade lambs at 11:30, 1:30 and 3:30!
We work with several local farms, who lamb many more Ewes than us and do not have the man-power to bottle feed their own Cade lambs.
(A Cade lamb is one that has either been rejected by its mother or the mother has been ill or died)
Also, larger farms tend to bottle feed the third lamb if they are triplets as three hungry lambs can be a little too much for many Ewes!
February Half Term also marks the beginning of our Spring/Summer visitor season. Family favourites such as Skyrider and Archery will be open again (weather permitting) from Saturday 16th February.
