We’re looking for a hands-on Chef who genuinely loves cooking and cares about the people they’re cooking for. Someone who gets excited about creating dishes from scratch, experimenting with seasonal ingredients, and delivering food that makes people smile. What You’ll Be Doing

 

· Preparing, cooking, baking, and presenting delicious, high-quality food with creativity and care

· Helping shape seasonal menus that make the most of fresh ingredients and farm-inspired concepts

· Cooking hearty, satisfying meals for residential groups and school visitors

· Bringing energy to front-of-house moments—serving food, making great coffee, and engaging with guests

· Playing a key part in creating a friendly, relaxed food experience for everyone who walks in

· Keeping the kitchen running smoothly by ordering stock, managing supplies, and minimising waste

· Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, organisation, and food safety

· Supporting your team with a positive, can-do attitude and willingness to jump in wherever needed

About You

 

You’re someone who:

· Has a genuine passion for food, cooking, and creating enjoyable dining experiences

· Enjoys working with fresh ingredients and takes real pride in every dish served

· Has a warm, approachable manner and enjoys interacting with our visitors

· Is flexible, practical, and happy to get involved in all aspects of the kitchen and service

· Can work confidently on your own, while also supporting and motivating a small, close-knit team

· Remains calm and organised, maintaining high standards even during busy periods

Working Hours

 

· 40 hours per week

· Typically 9am–5pm on a rota, which includes weekend working

· Occasional early starts or later finishes to support residential group catering

· £30,000 per year (paid monthly)

Are you friendly, flexible, and passionate about delicious food and great service? Rand Farm Park is looking for a part-time Catering Assistant to join our welcoming team and help deliver high-quality food and memorable experiences across our Coffee Baa, Grainstore, event outlets, and residential programmes.

This is a varied, hands-on role in a lively, family focussed environment where no two days are the same – perfect for someone who enjoys working with people, being part of a supportive team, and getting involved in all aspects of food service.

About the Role

As a Catering Assistant, you will support the preparation, cooking, and service of food for a wide range of visitors, from families and day guests to students attending residential and college courses. You’ll play an important role in ensuring food is served efficiently, safely, and with a warm, friendly approach.

What You’ll Be Doing

· Assist with all aspects of food preparation, including cooking, baking, and presentation

· Prepare meals for residential visitors and student groups

· Carry out front-of-house duties, including serving food, handling transactions, and making barista-style drinks

· Provide a friendly, welcoming experience for all visitors and guests

· Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene across kitchen and service areas

· Complete administrative and food safety records both manually and via online systems

· Support due diligence processes by maintaining accurate records and documentation

· Work collaboratively with the team and confidently independently when required

About You

You’re someone who is:

· Friendly, cheerful, and approachable with a positive attitude

· Passionate about food and delivering great customer service

· Flexible and willing to “muck in” across different areas wherever needed

· A strong team player who can also work independently

· Reliable, organised, and committed to maintaining high standards

Working Hours

· 32 hours per week (averaged over a two-week rota)

· Typically 9am–5pm, including alternate weekends

· Some early or late shifts may be required depending on business needs
