FAQs

Your questions, answered

Do I need to book tickets in advance to visit Rand Farm Park?

Yes, we always recommend booking tickets in advance, especially during weekends, school holidays and seasonal events like Christmas or Easter. You’ll also benefit from lower online prices compared to tickets purchased on the day.

Can I buy tickets on the day?

Yes, but availability isn’t guaranteed on busy days and during seasonal events. You’ll also get a better price by booking online in advance, helping you plan your visit with confidence.

Do adults need a ticket to enter the farm park?

All visitors require a ticket to enter Rand Farm Park. This helps us manage crowd numbers and ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

How long should we plan to spend at the farm park?

This is up to you, but most families stay for around 3-5 hours or stay all day. There’s plenty to do, so you can take your time and enjoy everything at your own pace. Your tickets are valid all day.

We have a large Indoor Animal Barn, Adventure playgrounds, milking demonstrations, meet the small animal, Indoor Playbarn, pedal tractors, pedal go karts, summer houses, mini-golf, bouncy pillows, Air Cannon Arena, tractor and trailer ride and much more!

What is the best time to visit during the day?

Arriving earlier in the day means you can make the most of everything on offer, from animal activities to play areas and tractor rides.

However, it is up to you and your family how you spend your day. The indoor and outdoor activities are open throughout the day, and there are multiple feeding or milking demonstrations throughout the day.

What animals can we see at Rand Farm Park?

There are lots of friendly animals to see across the farm from those in our barns and paddocks to smaller animals you can meet up close. There are often new arrivals throughout the year too.

We have cows, goats, sheep, pigs, donkeys, horses, highland cows, rabbits, guinea pigs, chicks, chickens, ducks and much more!

Can visitors interact with the animals?

Yes, experiencing the animals is all part of the fun and something many children really love during their visit. Our friendly farming staff are always around to answer questions about our farm and animals if you want to find out more.

All year round, you can experience feeding demonstrations, milking demonstrations and meet the small animals up-close for a cute encounter. Most of our animals are in the Big Animal barn, outdoor pens or the farm paddocks, all of which can be experienced up close if the animals are feeling confident (they’re not usually very shy!).

You can also purchase a bag of animal feed to give to our sheep, goats and pigs.

Are there animal feeding opportunities?

All throughout the year, you can watch milking demonstrations with an informative talk from our friendly farming staff. Also, you can purchase a bag of animal feed to give to our sheep, goats and pigs.

During other seasons, you can bottle feed our lambs or calves at multiple intervals throughout the day, which is often a highlight activity for families.

Are there indoor areas if the weather is bad?

Many of our animals can be found in our barns, so you can still enjoy seeing them up close whatever the weather. We have an Indoor Play Barn and Air Cannon Arena where children can enjoy. Both cafes are indoors and we also have indoor picnic benches available.

Are there activities suitable for older children?

Yes, older children can enjoy attractions such as the Skyrider zip line, archery and the Land Rover Adventure

What should we wear when visiting the farm?

We recommend dressing for the weather and wearing comfortable footwear like trainers or boots, especially as parts of the farm are outdoors. During wet weather, wellies or coats are advised, but a lot of the farm is under cover or paved, so this is not essential.

Is there food and drink available at Rand Farm Park?

There are a variety of options on site, from our Cafe Baa or our Grain Store, each offering a selection of hot food, to picnic boxes and a range of drinks.
