We are looking for a vibrant , outgoing person to play a pivital role in the smooth running of our farm park operations. This person will help us to deliver a memorable customer experience to each guest, whether visiting with their family or as part of an organised group, by working at the forefront of our farm and events team. Being able to engage effectively with our guests is essential as well as good communication within our team.
Basic Job Description
A role within our residential team to lead and co-ordinate the delivery of our overnight education programs at Rand Farm Park. Throughout the year, we welcome over 3,000 school children from across the country to stay on the farm and learn about food, farming and the environment. We are looking for a motivated individual who is passionate about teaching school children aged five to eleven about the importance of agriculture and the countryside; working alongside our Head of Education and catering team to deliver the different aspects of this unique and varied position.
Typical Work Activities
• Plan, prepare and deliver residential activities, which include but are not limited to: butter making; woodland walks; planting vegetables in our allotment and baking
• All aspects of food preparation; cooking, baking, presentation
• Preparation of snacks and lunches for Residential visitors.
• Keeping administrative & food hygiene records as and when required
• Ensure the kitchen is kept clean, hygienic, and tidy, at all times
Personal Skills
This position requires an inspiring, exciting, and enthusiastic team-player, who is flexible with an outgoing cheerful disposition and the ability to “muck in” as part of a small team. A friendly happy person, able to communicate effectively with teachers and school aged children in an unsupervised environment.
Hours of Work
Monday to Friday, Term-Time
Flexible to ensure the satisfactory completion of the job. General working hours are 9am to 6.15pm to help serve our residential evening meal. Some additional, occasional weekends would be required to accommodate activity lead groups with prior notice
Rates of Pay
£25,000 - £30,000 per annum Pro Rata, paid monthly in arrears.

You must be comfortable in front of a large audience (or people and animals) and work in our peak times at weekends and school holidays.
As part of the events and activities team you will be:
• Coordinating Skyrider and Archery sessions
• Hosting games & activities for themed events
• Helping maintain cleanliness of farm and park areas
Experience is not essential, but we are looking for reliable, bubbly personalities – we can teach you the rest!
