Rand Farm Park is a dynamic and exciting visitor attraction based near Lincoln, offering educational and good value days out for visitors of all ages. The Farm welcomes over 120,000 visitors per year, comprised of public day visitors, school day visitors and residential school groups who stay at the farm to learn about food, farming and the environment. We also have a 100 place Day Nursery and Pre-School, which is fully catered for by our on-site team.
We are looking for a hands-on Chef with a cheerful, flexible, and outgoing approach, with at least 1 year of recent, relevant chef experience. As a key member of our small, close-knit team, you’ll bring confidence in working independently, a positive, can-do attitude, and show a readiness to muck in and support your colleagues to deliver good food, fast to our guests.

Responsibilities include:
· All aspects of food preparation, cooking, baking, and presentation as well as seasonal development of our menu
· Preparing meals for residential groups
· Front-of-house duties, including processing transactions on the till system and preparing beverages using the barista coffee machine
· Maintaining administrative and food hygiene records, both manually and through various online systems
· Ordering stock from regular suppliers
· Ensuring the kitchen is maintained to a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness
·Serve food, engage with customers and ensure a warm, friendly experience
. Promote a positive, can-do attitude within the team
About You

Working Hours
  • 40 hours per week
  • Usual hours: 9am–5pm on a rota including weekends
  • Some shifts may include early starts or later finishes to support with the evening meals for residential programmes
Pay & Benefits
Salary: £30,000 per year (paid monthly)

24 hours per week (on average, over a two-week rota)

Rand Farm Park are looking for a Part-Time Catering Assistant to join our welcoming team and help deliver high-quality food and customer service across our Coffee Baa, Grainstore, in the various outlets during Events, and for students on College and Residential Courses.

About the Role

You will help prepare, cook, and present food quickly and efficiently for a range of visitors, students, and guests. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same.

 

Typical Responsibilities include:

o All aspects of food preparation; cooking, baking, presentation

o Preparation of meals for Residential visitors.

o Front of house duties including processing transactions on our till system and preparing beverages with our barista coffee machines

o Keeping administrative & food hygiene records manually and through various online programmes

o Keeping the kitchens to a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness

o Creating and maintaining the information for our due diligence systems

o Serving food & interacting with visitors

 

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

· Friendly, cheerful, and approachable

· Flexible and willing to “muck in” as part of a small, supportive team

· Confident working independently when needed
